DEAD END REVIEW

On a moonlit night, Tyler finds himself stood up on a drug deal and caught between a rock and a hairy place.

Starring: Steven Blades

Directed by: Jack Shillingford

Written by: Jack Shillingford and Richard O’Hare

Well it looks like this drug deal will come to a “Dead End.” Tyler has stopped in the middle of nowhere, and is waiting for someone to show up to complete a drug deal. He leaves message after message, but there’s no response. His patience is running out, and gets even angrier when his car starts acting funny.

Of course he makes the mistake of getting out, and walks around in the pitch black street. He eventually hears and sees something that has him scrambling back into the vehicle. His gun might scare away other dealers, but it isn’t going to scare away what is now hunting him. Tyler might just have come to a dead end.

“Dead End” is another good example of a short horror film that could have been a scene in a feature film. The timing and pace is just right, as the tension builds up with growing frustration from Tyler waiting around. The monster in this one looks good, and makes a great first appearance. They make the most of it in its limited screen time, but still get in some blood splattering fun. This review has hit a dead end, and now it’s your chance to watch the film…
