BEHIND THE SCENES: "FROM DUSK TILL DAWN" HOUSE AT HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 24

Part of my Halloween Horror Nights 24 (HHN) adventures was taking the Unmasking the Horror Tour. This tour takes fans on a behind the scenes look at the haunted houses. Our tour took us into 6 of their 8 houses so I decided to break them each up into their own post in order to give you a better look at each of them. This is a behind the scenes look at the “From Dusk Till Dawn” house, which is based on the new TV series.

The above video is a series of photos that I took while on the tour. What I will be doing now is describing some of the things you saw in the video, so you might want to read this and then go back and watch the video again.

The house is basically the famous bar, which in this case is called the Twister. At night there is a scare actor standing on the steps telling everyone to come right in. He's giving hints at what everyone can expect once inside.

I included the pic above to show you how they change the writing on things like bottles, boxes, or anything branded not only in this house but others. Here you can see the beer has been renamed "Aass Bokk." Sometimes things are renamed to be funny, while others things might have meaning. Of course things like this are hard to see while going in the house at night.

One theme throughout this house is the stripper vampires. Sorry I have no pictures of them. There are several places where there are curtains like in the pic, where the strippers are hiding behind.

Some of them are dancing, and having a good time with their victims just before they try to jump out and scare you. The above pic is a good example of that kind of scene. At night a vampire is on top of this victim dancing, and having a snack before springing out at people.

In the video you will see a lot of snakes, a lot of them. There are also some bats among other things around the house. There are a lot of tight areas except for this opening in the above pic.

The final set of pics lead you into the final room of the house. As you walk in, you are coming from behind the register. There is a table where some victims were playing cards.

One of victims has ended up on the pool table. An up close look at her shows that she has been bitten on the neck by a vampire.

I included a pic of this victim below because if you look closely that is a Disney button on her. That wasn't the only Disney button I found while touring.

Here we have the main dance floor where the major entertainment is taking place. At night while you are looking around for the vampires, there is a scare actor there with a chainsaw ready to take on the vampires.

Overall, this wasn’t one of my favorite houses. I’m sure a lot of people enjoyed looking at the stripper vampires, but it didn’t make the house that scary. It was fun watching the scare actors pretend to eat their victims. Also, it was fun getting an up close look at some of the victims on the tour.

So that was a look at the “From Dusk Till Dawn” house.  If you have any questions about the house, or HHN24, please feel free to ask.

Horror Movie Survival Kit

Man Crates is a new company that ships awesome gifts for men in custom wooden crates that he has to open with a crowbar! At Man Crates, it is their mission to end the difficulties that have long been associated with buying gifts for men.  And what does Man Crates have to do with horror? Well, while they have a wide assortment of crates, they also have horror themed ones like their "Zombie Survival Crate." Someone at Man Crates asked me to create my own Horror Movie Survival Kit as part of their Halloween celebration so here we go! Us horror fans know that is usually takes a lot to survive a horror film. A lot of it comes from the person's will to live, and a little luck. Obviously those things don't come in a crate, so lets start by thinking about the kind of horror movies we could end up in. We have zombies, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, aliens, end of the world scenarios, and even sharknados! Even with a crate I'm not sure we could be totally prep

THE OFFERING REVIEW

A family struggling with loss finds themselves at the mercy of an ancient demon trying to destroy them from the inside. Starring: Paul Kaye, Nick Blood, and Allan Corduner Directed by: Oliver Park Written by: Hank Hoffman, and Jonathan Yunger   When it comes to horror you don’t want to be “The Offering.” Yes, a demon is involved in this story born of Jewish folklore, and it is expecting to get what it demands. Art (Nick Blood) and his wife Claire (Emm Wiseman) are visiting Art’s father Saul (Allan Corduner). It might seem like a normal visit on the surface, but Art has something in mind on this trip.    Before he can get his plan into action, he reunites with Saul, and helps out at Saul’s funeral home. Unfortunately, a body has just arrived for them to prepare, and it comes with a demon attached. Attached for a short time become it soon becomes free to terrorize Art and his family. It especially has an interest in Claire, who is also pregnant.   It’s easy to get lost in some of the f
