“Morbid Colors” follows the troubled journey of Devin and Myca, two foster sisters bound by horrific pasts. It obviously starts with the two sisters, Myca (Kara Gray), and Devin (Lanae Hyneman). Each have their own struggles in life, and battle each day to find their place in the world. Devin seems to be doing a little better, at least trying to do what’s right. Unfortunately for her, she’s that one family member that sacrifices everything in their life for the people around her.   One of those people is Myca. ‘Beached’ follows The Wail, an ancient creature from the deep, who has come to the surface to take away humanity’s pain. While fans will have to wait to see the first 3 episodes of the series, I luckily got a chance to check out it out. I say 'luckily' because I really enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, I now can’t wait to see more from ‘The Wail!’   At first glance, the Wail is all kinds of creepy, and weird, but it turns out you can’t judge a book by its cover. The Wail couldn’t be any nicer, and only wants to do good for humanity. That’s really what episode one is all about. Horror movie icon Robert Englund journeys into the darkest corners of America’s past to uncover stories that are as terrifying as they are real.   As horror fans, how could we not be excited to see Robert Englund on screen? No it’s not Freddy, but come on you can always imagine him talking to you as Freddy. Anyways, while it’s good to see him on T.V., this series has more to do with the tales he’s telling. Kind of think of it as him hosting a show like ‘Unsolved Mysteries,’ or even ‘Dateline.’    He does an introduction, and then dives into a story. While he starts the story, they also have experts come in, and make comments on what’s happening. It takes a little of the pressure off of him, and tries to make the story feel a little more real. So how real are the stories?   Well, supposedly these stories originate from real stories in American history. Call it more like yellow journalism, as some of these stories are clearly fake. Yes, it takes a few minutes to set up and ultimately is a dream, but sets off the movie on a high note. Unfortunately, that’s much of the horror in the movie for awhile. Instead this becomes a sci-fi type movie. So what does that mean is in store for the audience from here on out?   Lots of confusion especially if the audience has no idea what this movie is about going into it. The audience gets that Joshua (Jeremy Ninaber) is trying to cure his sister, Emma (Melissa Joy Boerger), but what’s wrong with her? They leave a lot of mystery to that until the end

Deep in the Shenandoah backcountry, a killer stalks for prey. Starring: Heather Stone, and Michael Stumbo A Johnny K Film   “The Killer of Grassy Ridge” opens on the ridge with a man digging a grave. As the audience gets a look at him and his surroundings, it seems clear he’s up to no good. The radio he’s listening to then mentions there have been some deaths in the area, and for everyone to stay indoors. Unfortunately, there seems to be woman also on the ridge, and calling for help. It appears like she’s calling for the wrong person to help her out.   The man grabs his ax, and makes his way out into the woods. He follows the voice until he finds the woman on the ground in front of a tree. She tells him she has hurt her ankle, and can’t get up. The woman appears at his mercy as the two come face-to-face.   “The Killer of Grassy Ridge” proves how to make a great set up. For the seasoned horror fan, they may catch what’s happening here, but it doesn’t take anything
